As you may know, most rangefinders are either used for hunting or for golf (and sometimes both). One major advantage over conventional measuring instruments is the speed with which they locate and determine the distance to your target, but most importantly the biggest advantage is the precision of that measurement! The success of your hunting game after choosing a good laser rangefinder will be largely dependent on how you use it, right? That is why I invite you to read my review of one of the most competent rangefinders available on the market, to help you make sure you are making an informed choice. Based on some new uses of advancing technology, the Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder has emerged: this newcomer uses a DNA technology that propels the laser range finding to new levels of precision and speed. Sound pretty cool? Well, here’s what you need to know on this functional rangefinder. Accuracy The Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder is equipped with a revolutionary DNA Engine (Digitally Enhanced Accuracy). This is the secret sauce that makes the Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder such a fast and accurate rangefinder: it instantly gives you all the essential information you need in order to adjust your shot without a lot of distracting information to slow you down. In fact, it’s actually two times faster than the previous generation of rangefinders! Whether you hunt with a bow, rifle, or Calloway Driver, this rangefinder solves one of the most important challenges faced by rangefinders: transmitting light. While other rangefinders only display a light performance (pass through) level of up to 25%, the Leupold RX-1200i DNA rangefinder transmits roughly 80% of light using the new technology. In addition, coupled with the Leupold Digitally Enhanced Accuracy (DNA) technology, the rangefinder performs this feat with more speed and accuracy than its predecessor (resulting in a performance of 1/10 yard, 9 cm). What’s the result? You get a picture of your target, very bright and clearly. This advantage is currently not offered from other rangefinders on the market. Ease of use The Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder offers exceptional accuracy and reliability based on my usage and other user reviews. Since the main goal of the Leupold rangefinder manufactures is to deliver exceptional performance, it is both practical and very easy to use. The RX-1000 is a high quality monocular device capable of measuring the distance of an animal the size of a deer between 10 and 500 meters, an inanimate object between 10 and 600 meters and a reflecting target between 10 and 1000 meters. It emits a series of invisible infrared pulses which are reflected by the target and returned to the optical drive. (Almost like a radar gun!) Accuracy

The Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder is equipped with a revolutionary DNA Engine (Digitally Enhanced Accuracy). This is the secret sauce that makes the Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder such a fast and accurate rangefinder: it instantly gives you all the essential information you need in order to adjust your shot without a lot of distracting information to slow you down. Ease of use

Size

Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder Picture

The size and weight of any equipment we have to carry with us is undoubtedly two of most important features for any rangefinder – at least to me – and this one is no exception. While choosing a light and compact instrument is crucial to your hunting session, it could be less important on a golf course since you can leave it in your golf cart. The Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder is actually less than 4 inches long and weights only 7.80 ounces. In addition, the aluminum frame of the rangefinder is sturdy and durable. This device is small enough to fit in your pocket and tough enough to withstand the rigors of harsh weather conditions. And now, it’s fast enough to provide you the precision you need at the speed you need too.

Special Features – Backlighting and Power Consumption

The advanced digital signal of the exclusive DNA does one thing really well, it simply allows for a better image. The image, which is filtered, allows for a better separation between the target and the background and for a more efficient distance calculation. Using to the Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder, you can have an accuracy of 45 cm over distances of more than 914 meters. The special feature of the display OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) is one of the major assets of this rangefinder. This unique technology uses a thin layer of organic compounds to give it an important advantage over other commonly used LCD displays; the OLED display does not need backlighting. This lack of backlighting significantly reduces power consumption, keeping the display on and the colors able to retain their contrast during use. In the field, this results in a lower level of battery consumption. Although weather conditions (summer and winter) can also affect the life span of a battery, at least you are starting with an efficient energy product that doesn’t leave you half-charged by the time you reach your deer stand.

Other specifications

We’ve really only scratched the surface for this product, as the Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder comes with many more useful features. The powerful optics provide an image 3 times brighter than usual allowing for a more precise scope of information in the least favorable light conditions. The 6x magnification provides a wide field of vision while you are moving around the field. The advanced OLED technology is easily adjustable and you can adapt the display to the changing light conditions of both morning and evening sun movements. The camera is powered by a CR2 lithium battery, allowing for good energy usage. The scope is accurate up to 914 meters on reflective targets, with measurements given in yards or meters depending on your preference. Finally, the constant updates of the scan mode scope let you do your job, which is focus on your target and not on your instruments. The intuitive quick set menu makes it easier to use the rangefinder on the ground, thanks to the information that appears on the screen.

Recommendation

The Leupold RX-1200i TBR Compact Digital Laser Rangefinder is a quality product that offers unique abilities due to its usage of light and energy consumption. There are quite a few varieties for sale online that allow you to choose your finish, for example black or camouflage. It’s hard to go wrong with this laser rangefinder and we hope it brings you as much success in your game as it has for us and other users. Happy hunting!
