Bushnell Z6 Jolt Rangefinder features not only the most technologically advanced laser in the world but also the world's smallest laser.
Some people see golf as solely a hobby, for the rest of us, it’s a passion…a life calling. Some people pass down their golf clubs from father to son and are very fond of the “traditional” ways of playing golf. However, just like any sport, golf is inevitably influenced by technology advancements. Some believe that these advancements make things easier for the player, but I think most of us can argue that is far from the truth. What they actually do is give us players more information about the course, conditions, and other factors so we can adapt and improve our game accordingly.
For example, rangefinders can help players understand the terrain better so that they can better plan their shots. In short, if you wish to play like a pro (or just feel like you are), you need to equip yourself with professional golf accessories. While GPS rangefinders can be of some assistance, a laser rangefinder will offer more accurate readings. However, even laser models can sometimes have a hard time locking on to the correct target without inadvertently capturing objects other than the flag stick. Well, say hello to the Bushnell Z6 Jolt Rangefinder, one of the best golf rangefinders on the market when it comes to locking on the pin target. The pinseeker mode can determine and select pins from trees and other terrain obstacles in order to display the proper distance readings. Furthermore, this rangefinder also uses the famous Bushnell Jolt technology, which vibrates when locked onto the flag, thus eliminating any and all doubts about its clarity and function when in operation.
For a professional golf player, a rangefinder’s accuracy, range and magnification are very important. And the Bushnell Z6 Jolt Rangefinder doesn’t disappoint, as the Z6 maintains a high level of accuracy, within 1/2 yard for each reading. It can locate targets up 450 yards away with an incredible min/max range that goes from 5 to 1,300 yards. Its whopping 6x magnification places it amongst the most powerful rangefinders in the world. It also features a slick diopter setting. If you want to take it even farther, the Z6 can also be used to range other objects such as hazards, bunkers, trees, opposing players and just about any other object on which light can bounce of and back to the rangefinder. Of course, the larger the target, you will get more accurate and better range measurements. The Z6 even works in less than favorable weather conditions such as light rain and fog. If you can see the target, then the Z6 can also see the target and you should be able to obtain a reading. Furthermore, within ranges of 5-125 yards, this rangefinder displays the distance to a 1/10 of a yard…which is suitable for all skill levels, especially mine!
Size and Grip…and Waterproof!
The Bushnell Z6 Jolt Rangefinder has a very modern and ergonomic design so it fits in your hand very nicely. It weighs only about 8.2 ounces and has the following dimensions: 4.1 x 1.4 x 3 inches. Wait, you’re saying…is that true? Yes, in fact, this is the smallest laser rangefinder in the world. It comes with a protective case so you don’t damage or misplace the Z6, but without the case, the Z6 can also easily fit in your front pant pocket. The Z6 features a very modern looking rubber armored metal housing giving it an appealing look to match its technical sophistication, if you ask me. The textured rubber (You can see this in the pictures) really helps to diminish the risks of the Z6 becoming slippery and increases your grip on the device. That should allow you to use the Z6 in foggy and rainy conditions, so long as you can see the pin. This brings me to the next big advantage: the Z6 is fully waterproof. How about that?
The Bushnell Z6 Jolt Rangefinder is tour certified and it is also one of the most technologically advanced laser range finders currently available in the world. It combines the award-winning Pinseeker mode with a second generation of extreme-speed-precision electronics, called the Vivid Display technology and the Jolt technology. The E.S.P.2 technology provides faster and more accurate yardage, while the vivid display technology improves light transmission and resolution and provides extra bright, sharp and clear views with lower distortion in changing light settings. In fact, the E.S.P.2 can make the performance of this product five times faster than any competitive laser rangefinder.
Ease of Use
Like all Bushnell rangefinders, the Z6 laser rangefinder is very easy to use. All you have to do is aim it towards your target and press a button. In less than a second, the rangefinder will display legible and accurate readings on its screen. With the previous generations of Bushnell rangefinders, the user would lock onto the flag by placing the image of the flag in a small red circle. The moment that the rangefinder locked onto the flag, a small flag figure on the screen would become red. While this still happens with the Z6, the new Jolt technology also emits short vibration bursts when locked onto the flag, in order to eliminate any doubt that you are locked onto the target. Pretty cool, huh?
The Z6 is legal for tournament play and comes with a two-year warranty. It offers positive target identification in all lighting conditions. It requires a 3-volt CR2 battery and features a Posi-Thread Battery Door. It can be acquired for around $400, a small price to pay for the world’s smallest and most technologically advanced laser on the market, especially if you consider the fact that there are rangefinders out there that cost as much as $1000.
The Bushnell Z6 Jolt Rangefinder is almost always one of our best sellers, which means there’s always someone else in your party who knows how to use it when you’re out playing on Sunday. In fact, you may need to keep it under wraps if you’re using it for your own competitive advantage on the course. With its light and durable frame, excellent range finding abilities, and all-weather toughness, it’s a hard one to pass up.
